Microsoft Visual FoxPro Professional in Desktop (70-155) & Distributed (70-156)

The process of FoxPro conversion involves separating data design, application logic and user interfaces into a more contemporary and scalable framework.

Substantial experience converting Fox (Foxbase, FoxPro for DOS, FoxPro for Windows) and Visual FoxPro applications. Several approaches can be taken depending on company needs.

Functional Conversion: get the application running under VFP with the least amount of time and money, providing an app that works but may not be pretty. Good for existing applications that have a short life-expectancy or limited user interface screens.

Partial Conversion: calculation and processing code is left largely as it is, with only user interface screens being rewritten to take advantage of the modern Windows look and functionality.

Full Rewrite: the entire application is rewritten from scratch using an object-oriented programming approach and modern design. The old application is analyzed to determine business rules and logic, but recoded in VFP methods.
