Substantial experience converting Fox (Foxbase, FoxPro for DOS, FoxPro for Windows) and Visual FoxPro applications. Several approaches can be taken depending on company needs.
Functional Conversion: get the application running under VFP with the least amount of time and money, providing an app that works but may not be pretty. Good for existing applications that have a short life-expectancy or limited user interface screens.
Partial Conversion: calculation and processing code is left largely as it is, with only user interface screens being rewritten to take advantage of the modern Windows look and functionality.
Full Rewrite: the entire application is rewritten from scratch using an object-oriented programming approach and modern design. The old application is analyzed to determine business rules and logic, but recoded in VFP methods.
